Lapis Lazuli and Copper 'Amulet' Necklace

I love that people all through history have collected Gemstones and other precious items to make Amulets. All of my pieces could be called amulets, but I wanted to create a range that embodied an ancient and organic feel.

"An amulet, also called Talisman, is an object, either natural or man-made, believed to be endowed with special powers to protect or bring good fortune. Amulets are carried on the person. The word "amulet" comes from the Latin word amuletum, which Pliny's Natural History describes as "an object that protects a person from trouble."

Lapis Lazuli has many healing properties. This pretty indigo and gold gemstone is known for cleansing the throat and third eye chakras and can be used to ward off psychic attacks. As a stone geared towards wisdom and communication, Lapis Lazuli can also help connect you to clarity, integrity, and intuition.
